Job Summary

  • Salary: CA$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Requirements for Truck Driver Position

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Clean driving abstract
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience or driver’s training certificate
  • Excellent safety record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with refrigerated transport is an asset

Compensation Package

Single miles

  • Mileage rate  (Starting at) $0.46/mile Canadian
  • Mileage rate  (Starting at) $0.62/mile US
  • Pick-up – $25.00/hr
  • Detention – $18.00/hr

Team miles

  • Canada mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.31/mile each driver
  • US mileage rate – (Starting at) $0.39/mile each driver
  • Pick-up – $15.55/hr each driver
  • Paid switches
  • Paid shunting incentives

Driver Requirements

  • Class 1 licence

Responsibilities for Truck Driver Position

  • Safely operate trucks for long-haul routes across Canada and the US
  • Ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition and on schedule
  • Maintain safety and temperature control standards during transport
  • Load and unload deliveries with care and accuracy
  • Complete delivery documentation such as invoices and delivery confirmations
  • Provide friendly and professional service to all customers
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and roadworthy
  • Report any delays, issues, or incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Support warehouse staff with order preparation and packing
  • Assist with restocking and organizing inventory
  • Follow proper hygiene and safety procedures at all times
  • Assist during high-volume periods or staff shortages as needed
